Great 1980s Films - Characters

  • Ghostbusters Fancy Dress
    Dress up in grey overalls with techno backpack and goggles, boots, and Ghostbusters insignia on arm.
  • Indiana Jones fancy dress
    Singlet, shirt, brown trousers, hat and whip optional
  • ET fancy dress
    Paint fingertip orange, wear an ET facemask, squat and say "ET phone home" all night
  • Luke Skywalker Outfit
    Wear karate/judo white outfit with pants, and buy a cheap light sabre from a one pound shop
  • Han Solo costume
    Wear a white shirt, plain black waistcoat, black pants, bring toy gun.
  • Princess Leia costume
    Find something to affix to either side of your head that resembles buns. Wear white, bring toy gun.
  • Darth Vader fancy dress outfit
    Darth Vader facemask, black cloak, boots, gloves and clothes. Cheap light sabre from a one pound shop.
  • Yoda fancy dress idea
    Paint face green, wear potato sack cloak, walk with walking stick. Find a headband, stick on some ears. Talk with your sentences backwards. Do it you can.

  • Obi Wan Kenobi, Chewbacca, R2 D2 and C3PO costumes!
  • Superman
    If you're going to attempt this one with any success you're best to hire a Superman costume! However, a cheap way to do it is to find a Superman t-shirt (i.e. with S logo on front), wear some underpants over your trousers (definite bonus with with the girls at the party), wear red socks pulled up over your trouser legs, and find some red material to go to fashion a cloak around your neck. Voila!
  • Maverick (Tom Cruise) from Top Gun - big dark sungalsses, jacket with army motifs, dark pants, big smile.
  • Beetlejuice - crazy white wig, black and white striped suit, white face paint with black panda eyes, bad teeth.
  • Edward Scissorhands - black crazy hair, white face, sad expression, black outfit or black turtle neck with white shirt, black braces and black pants, and scissorhands...

  • Rocky Balboa - boxing gloves, black shorts, champions belt, and boxing cloak. Mouth guard optional.
