You don't need much for this simple fancy dress costume, just courage:

  • Tan coloured leggings or tights
  • Big leaf/leaves


Luke Skywalker - A Simple Fancy Dress Costume

Dressing like Luke Skywalker is a lot cheaper and easier than you'd expect - especially if you already have certain gear. All you need are:

  • White karate or judo top
  • Cheap lightsabre from a one pound shop / $2 shop

Men in Black Simple Fancy Dress Outfit

Another simple fancy dress idea:

  • White shirt
  • Black suit
  • Black tie
  • Black sunglasses
  • Toy gun

Ninja

If you have lots of black clothes in your wardrobe, a ninja costume should be really easy. You need:

  • Black pants
  • Black long sleeve top
  • Black bandana
  • Black handkerchief/cloth to cover mouth (see pic below)
  • Black shoes or boots
  • Toy ninja sword or some kind of 'ninja' weapon


Scuba Diver / Snorkeller

Props make all the difference in this costume. You'll need:

  • Surfboard or at least a boogie board
  • Surf tshirt
  • Surf-style sunglasses
  • Board Shorts

Tennis Champion

You could really work this one if you can imitate a particular player. You need:

  • Tennis racquet
  • White shorts and white polo tshirt OR Rafael Nadal type bright coloured body-hugging tennis top
  • Head and arm sweat bands
  • Tennis socks
  • Bonus items: tennis shoes, trophy, wig, tennis balls, tennis bag


Where's Wally Costume

Possibly the easiest to recognise fancy dress outfit, and a simple fancy dress ideas is the Wheres Wally Costume! Cheap, easy and effective! All you need are:

  • Red and white stripey top
  • Red and white striped beanie preferably with pompom
  • Blue jeans/pants
  • Optional: Lennon glasses, and walking stick


A Wiggle - Quick Fancy Dress!

The Australian children's show 'The Wiggles' has four male presenters in easy to replicate outfits:

  • A long sleeved top either red, yellow, purple or blue
  • Black pants
  • Do the Wiggle finger wave during the party
