Snorta is a simple card game that scores huge laughs with children and adults alike. It requires a mix of fast reflexes, a good memory and making animal sounds. We like it for its simplicity, the ability to make serious adults make silly noises, and because you can play the game with children from 6 years of age and above. Object of the game in a nutshell The object of Snorta is to be the first person to get rid of all your cards. You do this by being the first to make animal noises whenever there are two matching animal cards on the table. It's not as easy as making the noise of the animal on card - instead you have to make the noise of the animal that has been assigned to the player who has just dealt the duplicate card. Snorta Game play A minimum of three people is need to play Snorta, with a maximum of six. At the start of the game, each person is assigned an animal - eg. dog, cat, cow, pig. Each player picks their animal noise and Why Snorta is fun!
What's in the pack? There are a two versions of the game that we are aware of. The one we've played with is the card pack: In this last version, the plastic animals are put in the pouch, and at the start each player randomly picks an animal from the bag, and puts it in front of them. Once all the players have picked out an animal and chosen their noise, they cover their animal up with a plastic house. Then play begins. Handy Snorta Hints a) More players = More Fun We played Snorta with six players. It allowed more variety of noises, and the more players the harder it is to remember their noises! b) Determine how cards are to be unfolded Make a point to agree about how all players should reveal their card on their turn. Don't allow people to get a glimpse of their own card before everyone else sees it! We recommend a fast flip over, with the player removing their hand as quickly as possible so that everyone can see the card. c) Add speed to make it even funnier We found it made for a better game when the rounds were played as quickly as possible. d) Make up hard to produce animal noises and you might get an edge over your competitors! We had very unusual cow and horse noises. One player's cow "moo" sounded like it was giving birth. Another's horse noise involved so much air and saliva that people had to duck for cover!. Simply put, the crazier the sound, the more hilarious, and the harder for players to make the sound. RatingsEase of understanding the instructions: 7/10
